As we welcome longer days, Marks and Spencer's has a new range great for the warmer season, including its 'perfect' new woven bags.
During a recent visit to her local M&S store, content editor Melisha Kaur came across an eye-catching selection of accessories for summer. She spotted the Straw Woven Top Handle Cross Body Bag, priced at £29.50, and the Woven Top Handle Shopper, retailing for £25.
Both bags come in colours guaranteed to add a pop of colour to your summer outfits. Melissa's personal favourite was the woven shopper bag, which also seems to be a hit with other customers.
Online reviews for this £25 bag are overwhelmingly positive, earning it an impressive average rating of 4.8 out of five stars.
The Woven Top Handle Shopper, available in natural, bright pink or lime shades, offers a beach-ready aesthetic with a spacious, lined interior. It features a top handle for easy carrying and a drawstring fastening to keep your items secure, reports the Mirror.
For those looking for alternatives, Next offers a similar style with their Natural Large Raffia Shopper Bag, priced at £48, while River Island's Yellow Woven Shopper Bag is currently reduced to £12 from £30.
In a glowing five-star review for the M&S bag, one customer said: "Beautiful summer/beach bag - bang on trend, just can't wait for the warmer weather."
Another added: "Stylish lightweight bag ideal for evening out, day trip or beach."
A third shopper described the item as 'perfect', sharing: "Bought for my son's girlfriend's birthday, she loved it! She thought the inside pocket was great."
Another buyer noted they had to tweak the item slightly but remained pleased, commenting: "Loved this bag, I sew a few stitches inside to hold lining from moving, great colour very stylish price really good."
Meanwhile, the Straw Woven Top Handle Cross Body Bag – available in eye-catching bright-pink or classic natural shades – has no online reviews yet. It has a cross-body strap and top handle, zip-fastening, a lined interior, and a zipped pocket.
Melissa said: "My only qualm with the cross-body bag is that it doesn't have a great amount of space compared to the woven shopper. If you require more room for your essentials, it's definitely worth going for the bigger option, plus it has more colours to choose from."
The Woven Top Handle Shopper is up for grabs at £25 on the M&S website here, while the Straw Woven Top Handle Cross Body Bag can be yours for £29.50 here.
